I love how unique this series has been. I can honestly say that I have not read anything like these before and they are steamy!! So just be mindful of where you are when you read these because you will most likely get all hot and bothered when reading it!This book focuses on Helena, goddess of fire. I love that she was an outgoing woman that never looked back. She was always willing and ready to take on whatever was thrown at her. She and Hades are a thing as well as Nicolas. You know how these crazy nymph's are, they can't have just one guy and be happy!! Lol. When Helena and Hades connect like no one else for either one of them, they know that there is something there that is special and of course they are going to have spawn!! That is why they are so good together!You need to read this story as well as all the others in the series. I have enjoyed reading this unique series to get a break from everyday things and escape into a mythical world. Great job Laurell Emily Grey!

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. This Book Brings The Heat!! By Bethany Dolinski Helena is a curvy fire nymph who is sent on a mission by Zeus to track down Cerberus. She needs help though and Zeus gives her files on the tag team wrestlers Claws of Fury who are tiger shifters. The sparks that fly between the three are instantaneous and thoroughly erotic. Eventually they make their way down to the Underworld trying to find out how Cerberus escaped the dungeons. Hades has been waiting for them to show up because Helena doesn't only have 2 mates she has 3. With mild BDSM, Hades shows his Dominance over Helena. There is a heartbreaking part but as with all of Laurell Emily Grey's book there is a happy ending just waiting. Of course we can't forget the dynamics between Zeus and Emily either. They are one of those love story's that you are rooting for them to be together. Hera is a royal pain like always with her efforts to destroy Zeus. You won't be disappointed with this book. It brings the heat and you'll need a cold shower after. Enjoy!!

Zeus at it again he pairs Helena with james and nicholas to do another assignment!!she sassy and you better watch out she can set you on fire.we can't forget Hades can't have him coming after me with paddle (no way lol)so what will happen with hades,james and nicholas and one miss fire queen helena?will they make it out alive from this assignment ?you must read to found out what happens!!

About the Author The author is a retired New Jersey State Police Detective/Lieutenant. He was the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Crime Commission. During his 30-plus years in law enforcement, Martens has conducted undercover investigations into organized crime and drug organizations, investigated corrupt political and public officials and has been qualified as an expert in organized crime in both federal and state courts. He was a "monitor" at the site of the World Trade Center during both the recovery effort and the rebuilding of the World Trade Center (NYC) after 9-11; investigated corruption following the devastation brought by Katrina in New Orleans; and was engaged in establishing an Independent Private Sector Inspector General in Northern Ireland subsequent to the peace accord brokered by the United States. He is a member of the esteemed Vidocq Society, a former President of the International Association for the Study of Organized Crime, lectured at PennState University and The College of New Jersey and has lectured throughout the world. He holds two Master's degrees, one from Fordham University one from and John Jay College of Criminal Justice and has been recognized by many civic organizations for his investigative acumen.

I laughed, I cried, but most of all I was enlightened. Fred Martens has to have been one of the most valuable assets the New Jersey State Police has ever had. One can only hope that NJSP still has as dedicated and intelligent investigators as Lt Martens was. I plan to make this book mandatory reading in my Criminal Justice classes. And I would recommend anyone already involved in or looking to pursue a career in law enforcement take the time to read this book and truly absorb the lessons within. From mobsters to politicians there are evil people who conspire to take advantage of hard working and honest citizens. We need brave crime fighters to step up and build successful cases through admissible evidence as Lt Martens demonstrates in this book. Well done, and happy reading.

Some things I read about in the newspapers at the time, and some things were family "stories" (my in-laws were "goombas" of some of these characters).Fred, you separated the facts from the fiction, and put all the pieces together. Another great new book in the Bizzy Bear series By iiiireader I have purchased a number of the Bizzy Bear board books and was happy to find this new one. As with the others, this one has a number of fun activities for my grandson to play with. The book is filled with knights and dragons - even jousting. At 18 months old, he is easily able to move the levers to make the fun activities happen. He especially likes the one that moves the sword up and down.The story is very simple and easy to read. When kids are interested in doing the activities, they really aren't listening all that hard. I read this one to him several times a day and neither he nor I have gotten tired of it. A little one can be a bit tough on these books - my grandson tries to "open" the pages where the movement actually is house. He has only destroyed one as I figured out how to reinforce the books so he can't pull them apart. I use a big of clear packing tape on the corners and edges of each page. Just enough to reinforce without hampering the flow of the activity. He hasn't damaged another since I starting using this method.

They are fun with lots of moving parts and short, interesting stories that rhyme. We have stacks and stacks of books and without fail my toddler always grabs one of these when he sits down to "read." I'm pretty sure we will eventually own every title, because he gets a new one for every major holiday. We ordered "Zookeeper" and "Knight's Castle" to put in his Easter basket this year and he got "Fire and Rescue" and "Let's Get to Work" in his Christmas stocking a few months ago.You really can't go wrong with any of the Bizzy Bear titles.

By Bob Walch This engaging board book with its interactive parts that slide back and forth to reveal additional illustrations is an excellent addition to the Bizzy Bear series. The knight's castle theme will appeal to many children because of the vibrant use of colors and depictions of armor, shields, swords, and jousting. Look carefully for the "rings" on the pages which you will then use your fingers on to slide them back and forth...young children may miss them. For children two years of age and up, this is an interactive book that is not only fun but will introduce them to another world.

But surmising that it refers to a ‘celebration’ of sorts, one cannot help but envisage here, the spectacle of foaming steins of beer borne aloft by rosy- cheeked waiting staff in lederhosen or dirndls, as appropriate.But no -- we mean yes -- the book does commemorate a celebration, namely a conference held in honour of Lord Hoffmann on the occasion of this eightieth birthday at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford in April 2015. Recently published by the Hart imprint of Bloomsbury, it contains nineteen essays from twenty contributors, all academics in law at Oxford University.For jurisprudents the book is a gem. Indeed anyone interested in the law and its continuing evolution, will find this book rather a treat. As well as offering studied opinion and penetrating insight, the contributors reveal personal reminiscences and accounts of their friendships and professional acquaintanceship with Lord Hoffmann whose towering reputation places him as one of the most important and influential of English jurists.In his opening remarks, Professor Colin Tapper, who studied law at Oxford at the same time as Lord Hoffmann (known at the time as Lennie), recalls that he was born in the same year as Hoffman, a time when apparently, legal education at Oxford was’ at a low ebb’. Many colleges had no law fellow and indeed many fellows were ‘either unqualified or incompetent’. Now that’s quite a revelation, that is.Tapper adds that ‘many of the qualified were incompetent and a very few of the unqualified were competent.’ This was the state of affairs before things began to change. ‘In my opinion,’ says Tapper, ‘Lennie’s year marked the final advent of complete academic respectability of law as a subject in this University.’ Thus was the beginning of an illustrious career which spanned both the practice of law and academia, the details of which are amply illuminated in this book. ‘The chapters in this volume,’ says Lord Sumption in the foreword, ‘are a tribute to a remarkable legal mind and to the respect in which Lord Hoffmann is held even by those who profoundly disagree with him.’ The diverse range of commentary in this book covers what one assumes is the full spectrum of Hoffmann’s jurisprudence in, for example, tort law, human rights law, administrative, media, intellectual property and employment law -- and much more, including tax, property and corporate law.One of Hoffmann’s most notable qualities as a teacher as well as a judge is, in the words Lord Walker quoted by the editors, the ability to ‘suffuse even the most technical subject with intellectual excitement’, which most law students will admit, is a quite rare and valuable talent.For lawyers in any area of law, this book is an important read -- and handy for researchers. It was a pleasure to read and although each character has an almost ethereal representation, I feel that the reader can identify in part with them. There is a message from life in each story so I consider that a deeper meaning exists beyond the little story. It is reminiscent of Aesop's Fables. Well done Andrew.

My absolute favourite story is Death and the little girl. Andrew's ability to evoke such an ominous character as Death to be so sentimental and empathetic is inspiring stuff. By Pad Bennett I was fortunate enough to meet this Fabulist (aka Author) on a train in Australia and bought his book with the last cash in my wallet.He signed it for me which was a big bonus .... until I started reading his work and found a much bigger bonus.A very good spend of only $15.Andrew has crafted fables from a place of adventure.His book EVENTYR is one I am enjoying bit by bit. ... more and more.It gives the reader things to ponder with surprise behind each corner.... familiar in the unfamiliar treatment to take the reader away from the mundane and into a place less expected and more enjoyed.I am anticipated each of the Unlikely Conversations yet read each a few times before advancing to the next.The collaboration with illustrator Lika works a treat.... she has captured the feel of the tales Andrew has woven.Andrew's book would work really well as an animated series .... so animators get on to it.:)My wallet is lighter for very good reason.Just buy the book and have the adventure.Regards

I was thrilled to find a Nancy Drew book that takes place in Greece. I recently came back from seeing relatives there and it was quite fun to travel the country with Nancy. Unlike other adult coloring books, I had no idea what I was drawing until most of the picture was filled in. I loved this color by number mystery coloring book as it was both entertaining, relaxing, and suspenseful (in a good way). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this if you love other adult coloring books.

Forgan, authors of The Impulsive, Disorganized Child, is one of the most thoughtful and comprehensive books that I have ever come across on this topic! What an incredible source this new book will be for parents, educators, coaches and anyone whose life is impacted by ADHD/Executive Skill deficits. The design of the book allows one to either read from cover to cover or to pick and choose chapters based on what one might find particularly relevant to their situation. Each section offers information, explanations, examples and countless strategies, tools and systems. The wealth of information and suggestions are so very cleverly laid out to offer specifics for parents and specifics for teachers. The authors address their topics cross categorically, (i.e.: touching on issues related to home, school, community), and topics are broken down according to age of child as well. From a self reflection survey at the beginning of each section, to the closure of “Next Steps” where the parent or teacher is left to actually take what has been learned/gained in the chapter and come up with his/her own plan and implement it at home/at school etc. In this way this book becomes a hands on and practical tool that can actually help one to move forward. It’s more than just an information source, though it definitely is that as well, as it’s back with tons of research.For me as an ADHD Coach, and as the Coordinator of an Educational Support Group for Parents & Educators of Children with ADHD, this book reflects the issues that every single parent and teacher that I encounter face daily at home and at school. There are so many aspects of this book to commend, but these are my favorites. First, the structure and organization of the book itself make all of the info inside easily accessible and almost instantly usable. The tables of guidelines for each area of executive functioning are so objectively helpful for parents who are trying to clarify how “normal” might look. The “Is this a problem?” section helps parents move from a generalized sense of something wrong to pinpointing more specific behaviors, and the literature links offer a wonderful way for parents and children to communicate and empathize about their feelings related to EF difficulties. Kudos to the authors for spelling out the extra care and attention which are critical for children with two homes. More and more and more kudos to the authors for blame-free and do-able ways to help caring adults help kids.

By KP Found this read to be very informative of the "hidden" legal issues that we do not see "behind the bars". Tax dollars being spent on prisoners needs before ours. The law abiding communities that deserve the help should get it before the rapists and killers locked up in the prison system.
