Disappointing By River Summers My son likes this book at 16 months because of the puppy dog, but the story is really lacking compared to other Little World books. I hate all of the commercialism in this book... presents, candy, cake... no real educational value, but the puppy is cute.

Well, it actually folds out to 4 times its size. My 2 year old son was fascinated by it. He is a relatively gentle two year old, so he is careful with the pages. A more rambunctious child would probably be able to rip the pages easily. It's also not a book for the car or for travel, as the size when it is folded open is probably close to 20 inches by 20 inches square. My son lays on the floor and looks at the pages.Each page is a category and there are different tasks. This will be a book to grow with him over the next few years. Right now, we work on identifying the animals or things by name, and describing their colors. We can do "big to small" next, and count each like item. Many possibilities!

There were several times that he laughed out loud and I have to admit a chuckle escaped me once or twice as well. The characters are pretty realistic and well developed. I appreciated Jasper's parents care, yet taking a step back approach. I'd probably be all over a situation like this if it happened in real life at our house. The other books are on our radar to read as well.

By Chief, USN Ret...VT Town TOP 500 REVIEWER Bo is an unhappy little bird and she decides to fly for a few days. Finally, she became tired and spotted Bruce the Moose when she landed. She asked if she could build a nest in his antlers and he agreed. But, she had to keep quiet with the 'chirping' during his nap time at 2 pm every day. They became good friends and even took dips in the river together. Unfortunately Bo did not keep her promise and invited many friends over to her nest. Well, I imagine you can guess what Bruce does next. No spoilers here! I like the fact that it teaches the little ones that promises are made to be kept and not broken. And, always be kind to one another. This is a delightful book for children ages 2 - 9 and P - 4. The drawings are all well done and one thing I always enjoy in a children's book, is that it rhymes. Most highly recommended.

Children are going to love this book that reads like a song and looking at Poor Bryce the Moose's expressions as he discovers you can't always take someone at their word. The author did a great job with this book and it is one any child will treasure, Fun to read aloud and share too!

One day, Bo comes up with the idea to build a nest in the antlers of a moose named Bruce. He likes the idea of having a friend share his space. Bruce has only one request; that Bruce keep her singing low when he takes his afternoon nap. Things go along splendidly until Bo decides to invite some friends to her nest. What happens to threaten the friendship? Will Bo and Bruce find a way to make things right again.This book is written in simple verse with colorful illustrations. It teaches the elements of true friendship. At less than seventeen pages, the book is a good choice for a bedtime story or reader aloud for the preschooler or early elementary student. Nicely done!

By Grace I love reading my kids their bedtime stories to help them fell asleep and also get comfortable before sleeping. This is one of their favorites. I'm happy that this book teaches children on how to make friends with other kids especially those who are lonesome and with no one cares to be with. Bo and Bruce made a great deal and had a bond along the way. They've been very good friends though they're not the same. Bo is a bird and Bruce is a moose.The book is written very simple but I love the graphics/illustrations in this book. They are very much professionally done. My kids are loving it unlike the other books I've bought before. I'm sure Tina, is one of a greatest mom/writers who writes children's book.

The author suggests this book has been written for ages 3 - 8 and P - 3. There are a lot of colorful and well drawn illustrations to accompany the text. (Take a peek on the upper left).In this latest adventure of Terry Treetop, he is discovering the signs of spring after a long winter. Things are coming to life including the birds and the appearance of crocus flowers. AH, the magic of spring! Terry also sees a bear cub and he names him Barry. Terry wants to play with him but the Mama bear calls the cub back to her in the woods. No spoilers here but Barry gets into trouble and needs the assistance of Terry! Terry to the rescue once again.These books written about Terry and his adventures are outstanding. In addition to helping others in this one, Terry also makes a new friend and discovers the wonders of spring. I like the fact that there are 'big' words such as 'harbinger, survival skills, curiosity and excellent' are used in the text. So, if you are a parent reading to your child, be prepared to do some explaining. And, am sure this will be on the 'read again, Mom/Dad'. please!Most highly recommended for the Terry's latest adventure, the 'big' words and the excellent drawings.

Terry was very excited when spring came.While Terry was playing in his backyard he came across a young bear cub. The baby bear cub was just as excited to see Terry as Terry was excited to see the cub, which he names Barry.Terry wanted to play with Barry longer but Barry's mom came to take him into the woods. As Barry and his mom was going into the woods, Terry heard Barry crying. Barry has fallen into a pit dug, and he couldn't get out.Terry is a great climber but he was too small to help Barry get out all by himself. What did Terry do to help Barry get out?You'll have to buy the book to find out.My nephew is just learning to read and this book is helping him. This book teaches creativity and compassion to help others.The illistrations are very good, and my nephew looks looking at the pictures, trying to read the book himself along with his mom and I reading it to him. It's his "new favorite book".I received this product complimentary (or at a discount) in exchange for my honest opinion and unbiased review. These are just my own opinions and based on my personal experience.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. We love this book By Tiffany Taylor We love this book. It has a great storyline and wonderful illustrations. The story emphasizes loving animals and treating them kindly, but it also encourages a healthy dose of caution for wild animals that kids should have. This book is especially great for our family because we just had a black bear walk across our yard a couple days ago and it's good for my kids to know that sometimes Mama Bear is right around the corner. I would recommend this book to any family with children, but especially for families who live in the country or around wildlife in some way.
