0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A Wonderful Book By Cheryl Johns This is a terrific and inspiring book for young girls in particular and for everyone in general. It is recommended for ages 8 and over. The reading level is comfortable for grades 4 and up with a Glossary of terms provided for more challenging words. The young ladies who are the focus of this book are of varied ethnicities and talents. Most are not well known, but should be. What I like most about this book is that it is a terrific book for children who prefer to read non-fiction over a constant diet of fiction available to them, written by someone who knows and loves history and Michigan. Thank you for a great book for girls, Patricia Majher.

They had it at her school book fair, but found it cheaper on amazon and was so excited to give it to her for Christmas!
