About the Author Claire Keane is known for her past work as a visual development artist at Walt Disney Animation Studios, where she made significant contributions to recent hits Frozen and Tangled. Her father, Glen Keane, was a renowned Disney artist who oversaw the design and character development on many classic Disney films, and her grandfather, Bil Keane, was the creator of The Family Circus comics. Claire lives in Los Angeles, California, with her husband and kids. This is her debut picture book.

The story ONCE UPON A CLOUD that comes to life. Readers will find the child listening to Keane’s story paying close attention the great illustrations. When it is time toturn the page, one should be ready for the child’s comments or questions stimulated by colorful flowing illustrations of stars, clouds, sun, and wind. Every turn of the page ignites the imagination of the child or children listening. ONCE UPON A CLOUD is a stimulating story children will never tire of hearing or seeing. Keane’s ONCE UPON A CLOUD is a special gift to her readers.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Simple in words, Beautiful and Captivating pictures. By Deborah G It's a simple and beautiful book. My daughter is 4.5 and we read a lot. We read much more complex books. But this one... I think the pictures are beautiful, we love reading it together. We love the nuance (look, a castle! and it took us a while to figure out that the circle of "women" represented the stars...). It's a simple (in words) but beautiful in pictures book. I also find it very calming. The picture on the last page, of the little girl and her mom is just filled with emotion. So, we like it. :-)

We both loved it! The whimsical drawings really capture the imagination, my daughter was pointing at everything and saying "look at that!" and I would ask her "what is it?" and she would tell me a whole story about what was going on. Just lovely.
