By Tina Manford I realize as an adult I should tell you about how much fun my two boys have with this book, Manila Skies, but to be honest I think I like making these airplane projects as much as they do when I help them! Jonah, who is only 4, certainly is hard on his and his brother's things sometimes and that's the great benefit of building "paper" airplanes out of manila folders and other sturdier paper goods around the house. Saturday was a big afternoon because it wasn't too windy outside and we all went to the back yard to fly planes they made for about an hour and it was delightful!

Lawson Not only are the airplanes described inside great-looking, and not only do they come with simple instructions that anyone can use to build the planes, and not only do they build rugged airplanes that stand up to much more play than traditional paper aircraft, but the price of the toys is cheap! How much is a folder or an empty roll of toilet paper you were about to toss? The variety of aircraft is superb. (Tip: If you have very young children, make the Simple Easy Throw Glider first to get him or her used to the idea.)
