The final book in the trilogy will be eagerly anticipated by fans.

Every year the futuristic school, Cragbridge Hall, holds its most popular tournament-the Race: a series of challenges that require the use of the school's amazing inventions like its holographic time machine! But this year is different. Rather than a monetary or academic reward, this year's winner will be the recipient of a carefully guarded school secret: a secret that could prove both powerful and dangerous.

Afraid that the secret may be one of their Grandfather's inventions, Abby and Derick gather several friends and enroll in the contest. But when Derick gets a mysterious message from the future, the team of friends must figure out how to succeed even when they know they are destined to fail. The stakes have never been higher. A page-turning, time-travel adventure that teaches powerful lessons about choice and consequence, believing in yourself, and valuing the lessons of history.

About the Author Chad Morris would love to be able to control animal avatars, see history in 3D, and show everyone how he imagines stories. Since the inventions that would make that possible currently exist only in his imagination, he settles for reading, writing, playing basketball, rappelling down an occasion slot canyon, dating his wife, and hanging out with his five awesome kids.

Everyone of the kids but one are super smart. Abby is just normal smart her twin brother is way smart. There Grandfather created Cragbridge Hall and he made exception for Abby. Abby does not give up, she runs fast, cares about others and risks her life to save everyone. Derick Cragbridge is a twin. Abby, Derick and two of their friends, Rafa and Carol have learned some of their Grandfather's secrets about time-travel. They have learned how to go to the past and the present. There is only a select few that know and have keys to travel. They have had two previous adventures to stop a group of bad guys led by Muns. Muns has learned about the machine to travel in time but he needs three keys to work the machine he stole. He wants to go back and change lots of things so he becomes powerful. Abby & Derick learn there is a plan to take over a race in the school so that he can get the keys. A lot of the good guys are unconscious so it is up to the kids to save everyone. So Abby & Derick gather a group of kids to race through the challenges to win. Through all the great inventions you learn about history in a fun way. It is exciting, I love the lessons about doing your best and learning through trials. How much you grow from them. What would you change in the past could effect your present. If you knew the ending of your life you might not achieve what you could do. I would love to read more in this series, but I don't know if their will be more to it. The twins have only been to school one year that took three books to tell their adventures. I love the science fiction of this story. That it makes you think about your choices. Also it is a clean read. I was given this ebook to read and in return I agreed to give a honest review of The Impossible Race.

The Impossible Race By Monica My boys (13 and 11) and I loved the first two books in this series, and have been counting down the days until this one came out. It's finally here, and it did not disappoint! It is the perfect ending (Does it really have to end?) to such a fun series. I love the characters in this book. Abby, Derick, Carol, and Rafa continue in this story, and there are some great new characters as well. I love Abby's attitude, and I love that she never gives up. She grows a lot in this book, which is good to see. You actually see a slightly more vulnerable side to Derick in this book, which makes him seem more real and likable. Carol is still hilarious; I love her wit and charm. There are so many great lessons in this book: never give up, always try your best, look at things in new ways. I love that it makes being smart and trying hard in school a good thing. There isn't as much history in this book as there was in the first two, but there are other things that make up the difference. Think dinosaurs, dragons, robots, the future, space, and spies. I highly recommend this book and series for any middle-grader, and even a little older. It would make a fantastic read-aloud. There is no profanity and no "intimacy," although there is some minor violence when they fight dragons and robots. You may read my full review on my book blog: the-readathon.blogspot.com.

It is all masterfully woveninto a futuristic story of determination and friendship. The story is full of action, twists, and turns. The author really 'gets' the Jr High age characters and their insecurities, relationships, and quirks. I LOVE the life lessons that are woven into the story; having confidence in yourself despite others opinions, good friends can help you make it through any challenge, the future is determined by choices we make, etc..It was a great conclusion to the series. I can't wait to see what Mr. Morris writes next!
