It's obvious that the author was scholarly with her background information and in love with her tale By Cindy Rittenhouse I don't often stay up any more until I finish a book, but I did with this. So much to learn about Irish mythology richly presented by characters with whom we bond so quickly. It's obvious that the author was scholarly with her background information and in love with her tale. All this woven into a colorfully layered tapestry of a large, tumbling, innately and insanely curious family. I felt the story was for all ages.
0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Intriguing By Prairie House This is an intriguing story and a real page turner. There are a couple of reasons I didn't give it five stars. There are some proofreading errors. Also, some of the feelings and thoughts of Fianna and the other characters are repeated too often, as if the reader is going to forget their motivations. And the frequent change of point of view can be confusing. But the characters are great and the descriptions excellent.

The storyline and mythos are rich and engaging and the plot flows perfectly. There's a great mix of drama, suspense, and humor. An intriguing and exciting read!
