Ultimate course for beginners By Ralph Walter When you work in a large company, you will often encounter massive and complex networks composed of multi-layer protocols, different devices, and in various locations. It can be a real challenge to set up, manage, and troubleshoot such complicated networks. Moreover, as technologies improve, networks should also evolve. Implementing changes to a complicated network is usually difficult.

The blurb looked intriguing and I nearly choked when it opened it on my iPad and found it to be over 950 pages. No problem. If this stinks or starts to flag, I can always bail out on it. I'm now over 400 pages in and I'm still reading. The plot is still coming together and, while some people might find that a complete turn-off, I don't care. The characters are great and the world is interesting. The only knock that I can level against the book is the editing. There are some misspelled words and some words that are simply incorrect. I expect that a spell check substitution went bad somewhere along the line.I'll update this review when I finish the book but, at the time of this writing, this is one of the better $2 you'll spend if you're looking for a long, steampunk-ish fantasy.

By Amazon Customer This book was such a remarkable turd it is absurd, I mean just look at the cover. YOU NEVER have a cover with words of different fonts. I absolutely hated the part where Darth Vader and Princess Leia had an incredibly graphic sexual encounter on the Pirates of the carribean ride, I won't got into details but putting a light-saber where it doesn't belong was not what I thought the "back-stage" in the title of this book referred to. I couldn't believe the audacity of having Mickey Mouse the head of a death camp beneath the Calfornia Screamin' ride. Although I respect MacDonald's want to take risks, I absolutely thought the decapitation sequence of Cinderella was similarly too graphic. 6-paragraphs about spinal fluid? REALLY MACDONALD?? I loved the ending where everyone was killed by a presidential nuclear strike, very politically topical. 2 out of 5 stars.

By John Frost Who hasn't visited Disneyland and wondered what goes on behind the scenes of the happiest place on Earth? It can't all be rainbows and churros, right?Brady MacDonald imagines a world where Disneyland's backstage is populated by brand's most famous characters, who, it turns out, are very real indeed.The story is set against the Disneyland Resort's very modern predicament of what to do with the Star Wars and Marvel brands. As the characters plot to have their voices heard by their corporate masters, I found myself drawn into the imagined conflict and taking sides.Without getting into too much detail, I enjoyed the elements of satire and parody and thought MacDonald did a fine job with the action scenes. Disney fans will have fun imagining the backstage lives of characters they think they know.

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Autumnal colours in the palm of your hand By Brian Nimo Tirimanne I had looked forward to receiving this and it arrived this afternoon. I wasn't disapointed. This is a book that transcends age or culture and is accessible to all. "Welcome to the Neighborwood" deals with the natural inter-dependendence between various species and the importance of realising how imperative that is for the balance and health of our planet, suggested gently by the texts and visuals of this lovely book. First, the paper: used both for the page itself and used in the construction, the paper is substantial with the look and feel of handmade paper in muted autumnal colours with wonderful use of those hues and tones. Second, the art work: with the look of a collage, Ms. Sheehy has removed the idea of shading instead of which the she uses color blocks to suggest depth and structure and it works beautifully. Third, the construction: with layering and paper engineering the author creates what at first glance may look like simple pop-ups but upon closer inspection prove to highly sophisticated. There is no attempt at natural accuracy, what she gives us is the idea in three dimension and the viewer fills in that sort of detail as much or as little as needed. This is not, most assuredly, a put down. Rather, it is what makes this work so marvelous as it speaks to minds of all ages. The pop -ups are beautiful, so beautiful that one turns pages with great reluctance. Fourth, the text: Ms. Sheehy provides each double page spread a single paragraph about the animal represented and then tantalisingly builds a text bridge to the following page, drawing reader and viewer alike along for the ride.As is quite obvious, I find this book just lovely to read and to enjoy. I appreciate the wonder of this book and sincerely hope that you do too.

The cover feels soft and gold lettering enhances art, while board book pages are sturdy for little hands. All at a great price! I plan to use this book as a baby gift.

McCain I love the simple illustrations, soft inviting colors, and thick pages that are easy for my baby to turn by herself. She loves the gold foiling of the letters on the cover and is always closing the book to see them. The poems are really basic and cute, although some are kind of lame and one makes a reference to watermelon seeds sticking to you "like chicken pox." Not something I really want to visualize while reading a bed time story to my baby. That's the only really weird poem. The rest are ok. It would be a great gift.

One suspect, Anthony Porter, was identified by eyewitnesses as the shooter and was quickly convicted and condemned to die. Just before his scheduled execution in 1998, a team of Northwestern University students and their professor produced evidence - including a confession - that another man, Alstory Simon, was the murderer. Pleading guilty, Simon was sentenced to 37 years in prison (by this time, Illinois had abolished capital punishment). But fifteen years later (2014), the charges against Simon were vacated and he was released from prison.Today, two young people's deaths are unavenged and all but forgotten. In this compelling true-life story, author Matthew Shaer investigates the circumstances of how two men were convicted of the crime and the efforts of a professor and his students to exonerate Anthony Porter and pin the murder on Alstory Simon. Was the Northwestern University professor a hero, or was he guilty of encouraging his students to use fabricated evidence and deceitful tactics to get a confession from Alstory Simon? Was the police investigation of the murder thorough enough or were they just trying to close the case quickly when they accused Anthony Porter?
