About the Author Konni Jensen was born and raised in the beautiful countryside of Denmark. She has been making funny drawings for as long as her parents can remember, they say it came naturally as soon as she could hold a crayon. She had her first opening at the age of 10, she shared the opening with adult artists, it was pencil drawings of landscapes and portraits. She has won many contests over the years and has been published in many newspapers, both in Europe and the US. You can find her paintings in many private collections throughout Europe, Canada and USA. Konni has a wide variety of styles, she paints modern paintings, realism and abstracts, but her heart lies in cartoons and drawing for children. She continues to work on her funny creatures and expand her family of monsters and dragons, and can’t wait to share those with you as well. According to the author, every little girl and boy gets a Closet Monster when they are born, they are there to love and protect all of the children. Due to an unfortunate misunderstanding, Peter’s older brother Bobby sends the wrong message by mistake and as a result, the Closet Monster needs to find a new job.The hilarious and heartwarming journey that his Closet Monster goes on teaches kids to be strong while dealing with life’s many challenges. By Valerie Davis I bought "Peter" for my 3 year old great nephew who loves to try and read and be read to. He ADORES the characters and loves pointing out the each beautifully drawn character and the bright, fun colors. The length of the story is perfect for the tiny attention spans of little ones and the size is great for tucking away for trips. What a brilliant idea for children! I was a little wary of my own closet as a child and wished I'd had something like this (Lol)! We'll be getting to coloring book next!!

Has become a staple of our bedtime stories. Entertaining and lighthearted but tells a good story about persevering through adversity. Definitely recommend to add to your child's library.
