By Grady Harp Poet Danielle Saba offers the reader a view of her changing ways of viewing life and the universe over a ten year period. The poems range form erotic, to spiritual, to sensitive feelings about that peculiar time of coming of age. The way we as a globe view our changing relationship with art, with the variations in climate, the disparity between the polarities of those who have and those who have not she is able to distill in both brief and extended poems. They have a flavor all her own - a keen mix of humor and compassion - that make for reading and re-reading. Fr a debut collection this is an impressive introduction. That being said, Daniele brings us a book of poetry that ranges from the insightful to haikuish (Yeah, I know that isn't even a real word)Why not 5 stars? Too short...need more poems Daniele.
