It was like sitting and listening to your favorite uncle tell of far away places with such tasty prose. You would never guess how the author named his book - not in a million years. Hilarious!! Many tales woven into one story made this book fun to read. I appreciate this book because it shares one man's experience about a war I grew up knowing only as a bitter saga. Thank you to the author for giving this part of American history a more palatable viewpoint. This was my first Kindle purchase.

The story about Mt Fuji made me want to go out, see the whole world and conquer it! I was so full of joy and delight to read every new story. It was great to read a different, colorful version of one's experience in Vietnam.
