Smith We've purchased several books in the Poke-a-Dot series, and this is our favorite in terms of content. Unfortunately, though, the first copy we received arrived with several defective pop dots, limiting the interactivity of this book. Amazon quickly shipped a replacement copy; however, the replacement copy had even more defective dots that would not "lock" into the secondary position. We've not had issues with any other title in the series. I don't know if there were quality control issues with this particular title or if perhaps the thin plastic pop dots might have warped due to heat in transit. After receiving two defective copies, though, I'm hesitant to gamble on a third. If you do purchase, take time to read through and test all the dots before your return window closes.

As a therapist, the children I work with also love the books. Great for speech and language development, as well as an interactive book for younger children to keep their interest. My issue with this book -- at least 5-6 pages had several bubbles on the pages that would not pop properly. Since the bubbles are double-sided, that meant that both front and back of the page the bubbles wouldn't pop...and that's a big part of the draw for these books!! Many of my children couldn't understand why the bubbles wouldn't pop. There wasn't just one or two "broken bubbles", but at least 10, which was frustrating for me and the children. I've purchased others of this series, but honestly will only buy in-store from now on so I can check the boom beforehand. Love the books, but I got a slightly "broken" one!
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Popping Fun By Mich123 Grandkids love these. Didn't get 5 starts because some of the poppers are weak and won't stay to one side. The Eye Spy version is a bit advanced for little kids. There are other books in this same line like the Farm that are better for little kids.
