2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Best Ramadan book I've read! By JCFS Our family has several Ramadan books, written by both Muslims and non-Muslims. This is the best Ramadan book I've read by far. It hits all the highlights about what the month is about, and it does so with lovely prose and illustrations. More than that though, it really captures the emotions of the month- excitement at sighting the crescent to begin Ramadan; tiredness, humility, thankfulness after a day of fasting; sadness as we realize the month is coming to a close; striving harder to do more good deeds; and excitement about the Eid celebration. I know it's hard for non-Muslims to understand the emotional attachment Muslims have for a whole month of fasting, but this book does a great job of trying to put those feelings into words. Well done Na'ima Robert and Shirin Adl!

The artwork is so unique, and the pictures illustrate the culture and practices really well. I sent this book to my son's preschool, and his teachers enjoyed them the most. She also has a Hajj one.
