I thoroughly enjoyed the multi-layers of this wonderful romance. The twists, turns, and mystery lead down unexpected roads, filling the reader with anticipation and even a few breathless moments.B J Robinson lent a voice of authenticity to the southern way of speaking within the pages of Southern Superstitions. "Last one in is a rotten egg." "Well, she'll just have to learn which side her bread is buttered on."The author's message is softly folded into the storyline creating a natural flow that points us to Christ.B J Robinson also captured the southern love of anything true to nature: Animals, sun-filled days, moonlit nights and camping under the stars--just to name a few.As for the mystery waiting for you in Southern Superstitions: I'll leave that for you to discover on your own. Her novel Southern Superstitions hits home and shows her devotion to God, her love for strawberry farming, and her appreciation for life's simple pleasures.BJ Robinson is a true romantic as she develops the love relationship between the two main characters, June and Andy in this well-written novel. These soul mates fall madly in love despite the initial lack of approval from June's mother, Myrtle. Andy, with his enthusiastic charm manages to win her over and take the place in her life of the son she lost at birth. Mrs. Myrtle, as she is fondly referred to, is the one chock full of superstitions. Whether it's a black cat that has crossed her path or her belief in good luck charms like a rabbit's paw to ward off evil, Myrtle has a way of constantly reminding the two love birds that bad luck is coming their way.Without giving away the plot of Southern Superstitions, bad luck certainly appears to be making its way into the life of June and Andy. Is Mrs. Myrtle correct in her superstitions or does she find her faith like her daughter, June, so desperately wants her to have? As you turn the pages of this charming, yet suspenseful romance, you will find yourself running through the pages, searching for your own faith and laughing as you remember the old superstitions southerners live by. You will be inspired, encouraged and entertained by Mysterious Ways. BJ Robinson has a way of making you feel at home in her books.
