Pictures could be better By Jal11 Nice that the story can be read without paying to go see Cinderella when your little one really only wants to see the frozen short. The pictures were obviously straight from the movie which would have been okay if the pages were at least glossy. The colors were a bit muted in my opinion.

Frozen Fan Loves It, Slightly Lacking in Plot, But a Fun Read By Olivia Stabler My 3 year old daughter is Frozen obsessed and super excited to see the "Frozen Fever" movie short. Until she gets to see it, we've been reading this book, which is the same story as the movie short. The story centers on Queen Elsa being super excited to plan a special birthday for Anna and Elsa is obsessing over every detail from the cake to the party banner to all the presents. Kristoff and Olaf are on hand to help as Elsa wakes Anna and leads her on a scavenger hunt for all these thoughtful presents she has made for Anna. Unfortunately for Elsa, she's coming down with a cold and every time she sneezes, little snowmen appear and run around the castle, unnoticed by Elsa and Anna. Anna keeps insisting Elsa rest but she doesn't want to ruin the day so she keeps pressing on until she nearly falls as she becomes dizzy from a fever. At that moment, everyone yells surprise and Anna was presented with her cake. She was so happy and Elsa finally rested as Kristoff and Olaf delivered all the little snowmen to the ice palace and Marshmellow on the North Mountain.The story is cute but I felt like the plot is somewhat lacking. I though that the little snowmen would play a greater role in the story and present some funny challenges to the party, but they contributed nothing to the book plot and were just there. They also didn't include the funny part from the movie trailer where Olaf is caught eating the cake. Of course this is not noticeable to my daughter, but an older child might pick up on that. Included in the book are over 30 stickers, many of which are sticker gift tags with "to" and "from" written on them to go with the birthday theme of the book.The illustrations are actual still shots from the movie short and they are very colorful and wonderfully detailed. Overall, this is a cute book, slightly lacking in plot, but we still enjoy reading it and seeing the life the sisters have after the original Frozen movie.
