Jennifer Cole Judd has dreamed of joining the circus, but for now she’s content with writing children’s poetry and books and perfecting her juggling act with her children and little dog. Her poems and stories have appeared in several children’s magazines. She coedited and contributed to An Eyeball in My Garden, a spooky middle-grade poetry anthology featuring fourteen children’s poets. Circus Train is her first picture book. Jennifer Cole Judd’s simple rhyming text is a treat for children’s ears and the story is a great introduction to young readers of the fun and stimulation of a circus. Parents reading to their child will have many discussions about the characters found in the colorful illustrations. And Pre-K Directors could most definitely incorporate it into other curriculum lessons like math, science and social studies. Great job, Ms. Judd. Looking forward to more.

I would like to thank Melanie Matthews for the amazing art work and of course, I would like to thank Goodreads First Reads for my free copy of "Circus Train". This is such a sweet book. My grandchildren love it. This book is a terrific rhyming Great Read for those young at heart.

My 3 year old adores it and my 7year old loves to read it to him. I am sure I have read it over a hundred times and almost have it memorized by now. Definitely worth buying. Your little one will want you to read it again and again and when you aren't available to read it the illustrations are so lively and bold your child will love just looking at them.
