About the Author Ciara Gavin graduated from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Ireland. Her work appears in the National Museum of Decorative Arts and History there, and has been exhibited at galleries throughout Ireland. She lives in Dublin with her son.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Illustrations are very Nice; Story line is very Simple By Frankie S. Cayton This is a well illustrated story book. It is big - - about 9" x 12". There is only one line of the story on each page which keeps it simple for younger children who are learning to read. The illustrations are very colorful and nice. No abstract illustrations - - which is wonderful. The story is uncluttered and very simple. I think my granddaughter was ready for a little more story line than what this offered; and I kind of wish it had been in a more holdable size. It is a large book with a "small" simple story that is predictable.

By Sandy Brehl A ludicrous situation proves to be satisfying for all parties, until individual needs call for sacrifice and a parting of their ways. The compromise, problem-solving, and visual humor are winning elements, but the tender-hearted relationships revealed in spread take the top prize. Pair this one with MOTHER BRUCE.
