I've been battling depression for years and in many ways no one seemed to understand why. Much like Jodie, I've had partners that never fully understood me because of my past. In this case, these are my thorns. Jodie is a single rose amongst the thorns of her troubles. From the death of her mother to the birth of her own child, she takes these tools and learns how to live and thrive despite the hardships she faces.This is an inspirational novel that I think everyone should read and think about. We all have thorns in our path. They could be from abuse, alcoholism, depression, PTSD, and so much more. I learned a lot from this book and everyone else can as well. The writing is phenomenal and the characters are very well developed as well as the plot. Please read this book, you will not be disappointed!

I wouldn't call it a novel, it is a bit too short for a novel and I look at it more as an inspiring story.I won't spoil the plot here, I will just say that it is very engaging and I read it in one sitting. The writing flows easily and there is nothing pretentious about it, as I can sometimes see in stories that deal with subject matter like this one does. It is a good book, touching and entertaining at the same time and I recommend it if you have couple of hours to spare. Only thing that I would like to change is the length of it and I am not too fond of the ending. Other than that, thumbs up.

Married woman Rose had been forced into a wedding choked with abuse, each physical and sexual. She does not understand what it's to like or trust men. Architect McPherson enters her life, and in another twist, she must marry him. Married woman Rose learns to trust and love. This book could be a religious writing to browse, attention-grabbing, now then touching. It command my attention the full means through. It's a clean romance.
